The Best New Phones Coming in 2022

The smartphone revolution shows no signs of slowing down, as manufacturers continue to develop new features to incorporate into their devices.

The development of the telecom infrastructure, the emergence of budget centric devices, and an increasing number of product launches mean that the market will continue to grow. Whilst, amongst a certain class of style-conscious consumers FOMO – the Fear of Missing Out – means that they will always be ready to upgrade their existing models to buy phones that have the latest and best features.

It is now required as an absolute minimum, that a smartphone should have a camera, the ability to play games and music and, of course, a fast internet connection. That means people should be always able to keep up to date with the news and their social media feeds, but also play games online from anywhere in the world at any time.

Others will want to use the services of online casinos, such as the PayPal casinos in Canada listed here.

These are just a few of the eagerly awaited product launches which can be expected in 2022.

Samsung Galaxy S22/Plus/Ultra

The latest development of the Samsung production line, this phone is likely to offer several camera enhancements, including greater optical zoom, whilst the screen and design will be similar to the Galaxy S21 family, but with a next-generation chipset.

iPhone X Fold

No year is complete without a new Apple product and 2022 will be no different with the launch of the X fold, which, as the name suggests, will be foldable. Like all Apple devices, it will include a wide range of accessories and features and will be well crafted and attractive. Needless to say though, it will not be cheap, and foldable technology is still new to the market and relatively untested.

Sony Xperia 1 IV

Tentatively scheduled for release in March 2002, this model has both 4G and 5G capability, features a 6.5-inch OLED touchscreen display, has a screen resolution of 1644 * 3840 pixels, and is powered by Android 11.

It also includes a fast-charging 21W battery, sensor fingerprint (mounted on the side), a compass, a barometer and color spectrum.

Asus Zendon 9 pro

This phone is lightweight and thin but comes with a 6.67-inch display and a resolution of 1080 * 2400 pixels. It comes with 6G of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card.

The device also comes with a camera set-up of a 64-megapixel primary and 64 megapixels + 8 megapixel + 12-megapixel secondary sensor with aperture.

Other anticipated features include an accelerometer, proximity, gyro and compass sensors, and the phone also supports 5G.

Blackberry 5G

Once an almost ubiquitous device among young working professionals, the Blackberry is set to enjoy a new lease of life after an American company announced it would license the first smartphone bearing the name. It is reported that the Blackberry smartphone will have 5G capability and a physical keyboard, and will run on Android.
