The Most Expensive NFT Deals

NFTs or non-fungible tokens are the new gold. These digital assets are growing fast, and one cannot help but wonder what the most expensive NFT deals are. How much money did people spend on an NFT? Are NFT more profitable than Ice Casino login? Today, we will show you the most expensive deals so far.

1. Beeple – $69,346,250

The most expensive NFT deal made to date is the sale of the Everyday’s by Beeple. The complete name of the NFT is Everydays: The First 5000 Days.

At the date of the purchase, it was worth 38,525 ETH. The NFT is a work of art created by Mike Winkelmann. In the professional world, he is known as Beeple. It is a collage of 5,000 digital images that Winkelmann also made in a series that he called Everydays.

The associated NFT for it was sold for $63 million at an auction in 2021. The Everydays series was purchased by Bignesh Sundaresan, a cryptocurrency investor. He is also the founder of the Metapurse NFT project. In the Metaverse, Bignesh goes by the name MetaKovan.

Both Bignesh and Mike have a vested interest in this art. They are selling B20 Tokens, which are related to the assets of Beeple works. These tokens reached their peak but eventually collapsed. Because of this collapse, many people now believe that the NFT was merely a publicity stunt and a scam.

2. Clock – $52,700,000

It was in February 2022 when the Clock NFT sold for 16,953 ETH. It is a digital artwork that depicts a timer. This timer counts the number of days that the creator, Julian Assange, spent in prison. The NFT is part of the Censored collection of Assange and a collaborator, Pak.

The NFT sale will go to Assange’s defence expenses. If you do not know it yet, Assange is the founder of WikiLeaks. He is an Australian editor and publisher. It was in 2006 when he started WikiLeaks, but it was in 2010 when it got serious media attention.

It was in 2010 when Sweden released an international arrest warrant for Assange. The allegation was sexual misconduct. Assange claimed that the allegation was just a pretext so authorities could extradite him.

There is now an organization called AssangeDAO, which comprises about 10,000 supporters of Assange. They all pooled money to buy the NFT. The organization came into existence in 2021, and the organizers put it up for the purpose of buying the NFT. The main intent of the group is to free Assange at all costs.

3. Cryptopunk #5822 – $23,700,000

Sold for 8,000 ETH, it is the most expensive CryptoPunk ever sold. It is an alien-style punk digital hat that wears a bandana. It is one of nine aliens in the collection. The person who bought this is Deepak Thapliyal. He tweeted the image of the NFT after he bought it.

Cryptopunk is a collection of 10,000 characters that are unique. The purchase comes with proof of ownership that is in the form of the ETH blockchain. Cryptopunk is a project that inspired the CryptoArt movement.

No two characters in the Cryptopunk collection are the same. Only a single person can own one. Back then, it was easy to claim the artwork if you had a crypto-wallet. Everything has been claimed, so everything is now up for sale. Today, you must put a bid in a marketplace to get the NFT. The coin you must have to buy is ETH.

4. Tpunk #3443: $10,500,000

Tpunk is the imitation of Cryptopunk. In the Tpunk collection, there are 10,000 NFTs that come in the form of Avatars. The proof of ownership of these avatars are in the Tron blockchain, not ETH.

Tpunk #3443 is a rare Joker-style art. The buyer was the founder of TRON, Justin Sun. Sun is an expert in NFTs, and even made a bid for Beeple’s Everydays: the First 5,000 days.

This type of NFT is pixelated art, which you can buy to best represent yourself.

5. Ringers by Dmitri Cherniak #109 – $7,117,908

This NFT is one of the most beloved collections in the world of art. Ringers comes from a generative art platform called Art Blocks Curated.

Dmitri is a Canadian artist. He began working on a digital art portfolio back in 2014. His Ringers series has about 1,000 NFTs. These NFTs are artwork that depicts strings and pegs. They are geometric art if we can call it that.

Summary

NFT is nothing more than a digital piece of artwork that you can own. It will never be gone, as it is stored digitally. Of course, people can make copies. But then, you can sue them if they ever make money off of it. So far Cryptopunk is the best-slling NFTs. The collection has 10,000 digital artwork, and people live the simple pixelated avatars.
