As promised, Apple released its long-awaited iPhone 7 last week. Perhaps the most notable change from the previous iPhones is the lack of headphone jack. There is also the presence of Dual Camera on the iPhone Plus, but that will need you to take snaps before you start noticing it.
The phones also come in jet black color; you know, because black rocks. A color Apple says:
“The high-gloss finish of the jet black iPhone 7 is achieved through a precision nine-step anodization and polishing process. Its surface is equally as hard as other anodized Apple products; however, its high shine may show fine micro-abrasions with use. If you are concerned about this, we suggest you use one of the many cases available to protect your iPhone.”
Did you get that?
What Apple is essentially saying; the jet black iPhone 7, the one so many people have been waiting for, scratches, and it scratches easily and in an ugly way. But (hey) Apple is giving you a solution; buy one of its many cases for protecting your jet black iPhone 7. If you embrace the black iPhone 7, then you will need to invest in some good cases to protect it from scratches.
The black iPhone 7 looks damn beautiful, but it is a scratch magnet. If you mind scratches, (who won’t mind?) then you need to protect it with one of Apple mighty cases. Otherwise, the jet black iPhone 7 surface will be full of scratches pretty soon after taking it out of the box. You can imagine how easily that can happen; when you toss it inside your pocket, wallet, on top of your desk …
So if you want the jet black look of your new iPhone 7 to last, buy it together with the cases; later than that, your iPhone will have scratch lines running throughout its surface.
