Toy World opens online store on Jumia Kenya

Toy World has opened a virtual store on Jumia Kenya to keep abreast of the consumer trends and cater for the seemingly growing population of Kenyans shopping online.

Established 20 years ago and with six modern branches across the country, Toy world stocks toys for pre-school children, young kids, teenagers and adults from Barbie dolls, lego building toys, vtech educational toys, , fisher price toys ,board games , jigsaw puzzles , party items , activity toys, children bicycles   and video games among others. Toy world stocks branded toys and games.

Vinay ,sales director  Toy World Said, “Our Toy World Shop on Jumia will allow our customers to shop from their mobile phones, laptops or desktops from anywhere at any time and have Jumia deliver on their doorstep where they can pay on delivery, it’s easy and convenient.”

In July this year, Jumia opened its website to external suppliers to sell on the site a move that saw brands such as Bata, Armco, Nairobi Sports House, and thousands of Small business enterprises establish virtual stores on the platform.

Parinaz Firozi, MD Jumia said, “Toy World has affirmed its commitment to make childhood and free time as exciting as it can be by ensuring that parents across the country can shop easily safely and securely on their Jumia online store.”

Consumer confidence when purchasing online has been the drawback in Kenya, with many afraid of buying counterfeit products. However, by allowing its customers to pay on delivery with a flexible return and exchange policy of 7 days, JUMIA  has been able to override these products and ensure consumer confidence.

JUMIA is Kenya’s leading online shopping destination. Customers across the country can choose from the widest assortment of high quality products and brands at affordable prices – offering everything from fashion, consumer electronics, home appliances to beauty products. Several months ago, JUMIA

opened up its online marketplace platform allowing merchants and its brands to reach a wider audience.

JUMIA operates in Kenya, Cameroon, Egypt, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Nigeria, Uganda, UK, and Tanzania.
