UNIWAX Launches Its Online Boutique On JUMIA in Côte d’Ivoire

UNIWAX, the leader in African print fabric manufacturing in Côte d’Ivoire announces an exceptional partnership with JUMIA Côte d’Ivoire, the first e-commerce website of the country. Starting May 18, UNIWAX awaited new collection as well as new products will be available on JUMIA through an exclusive online shop in shop.

47 years after its creation, UNIWAX initiates a digital revolution. The Ivorian company born in 1968 and which has established itself since then as the undisputed leader in manufacturing African print fabrics, just sealed a partnership with JUMIA Côte d’Ivoire. The two companies intend to work together to create a whole new experience in the industry. The partnership will take form as an online boutique launched the very same day of the introduction of the brand’s new colors and collection.

African fabric lovers will therefore be able to discover and shop brand new trendy colors like Olive, Grey, Sepia and Brown on UNIWAX print fabrics.  “UNIWAX is happy to join JUMIA in its strategy to expand e-commerce throughout Côte d’Ivoire and therefore give its users the possibility to shop our products online“, said Jean Louis Menudier UNIWAX Chief Executive Officer.

After its first steps into the digital space in 2011 with the launch of its website, this new partnership is a step further in UNIWAX’s marketing strategy. An online shop dedicated to the renowned WAX African fabric on JUMIA confers the brand with unprecedented coverage: models will be available in a few clicks 24/7 to the 500,000 monthly visitors of the website with the possibility to deliver everywhere in the country within 5 days.

This is a real solution to the geographical gap since it offers consumers the same range of authentic models regardless of their location. Francis Dufay, Managing Director of JUMIA Côte d’Ivoire commented on the partnership saying: “JUMIA is proud to become the exclusive online distributor of UNIWAX. This is a great proof of trust towards our website, and an unprecedented opportunity for our customers across the country“.

The world of UNIWAX will be displayed on JUMIA through the innovative concept of “Shop in Shop”, which allows a great brand to open its online store on JUMIA, easily and with the utmost respect for the brand’s image.
