Wonders shall never seize! If you though the Nike Mag self-lacing sneakers was an idea thinking too far outside the box? Well, here comes Virgin America taking stellar distance outside the box. Virgin America sneakers could easily pass for an astronaut’s shoe, well an earthbound astronaut.
These sneakers come with features, (how often do you come across shoes with ‘features’?) which include a Wi-Fi hotspot, a small working video display, charging port, seat belt buckle, and power by a battery. The battery can support the Virgin America sneakers features for up to a maximum of three hours. Now imagine yourself like: my shoes just ran out of battery, I need to charge my shoes!
Crazy, huh?! However, it is all for a good cause. These sneakers, created by a brand agency Eleven Inc., are being auctioned and proceed to benefit the Soles4Souls. A non-profit organization giving shoes and clothes to communities that cannot afford such life essential things. Eleven Inc. only created just one pair, and as you can imagine people are scrambling to get their hands on it.
By the time of writing this post, there was already 47 bids with the current bid standing over $7,000 and just 7 days 14 hours left to closing. For more details, you can check out the shoe on eBay.
