Vote on Election Day, and hotels.ng will give you a free hotel stay

With the Nigerian national elections less than three weeks away. The independent electoral commission is carrying out various campaigns to encourage the citizenry to vote. To support the idea corporate bodies have been called upon to provide initiatives to encourage citizen participation in the elections.

Nigeria’s online largest booking hotel portal Hotels.ng has announced plans to promote citizen participation in the forthcoming general elections. The company has made a promise to provide one night free in a hotel room for voters who turn out to vote.

The company made this announcement in a press release which she issued earlier today. In the release Hotels.ng indicated how voters can win the prize. The public relations personnel Flora Ori, had this to say:

To participate in this competition, members of the public are called upon to post their individual, with friends and couple selfie using the hash-tag #ElectionDaySelfie on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter on the 28th of March and 11th April 2015.”

She went further to reveal that there are only three rules for those who hope to win the free room for a night.

For a picture to be considered as a likely winning entry it must be very creative. It must be a picture that captures a story in one image.

The hash-tag #ElectionDaySelfie and #Hotelsng must be used when a picture is uploaded.

The photo must be taken at the venue where the voters go to cast their ballot.

Hotels.ng also disclosed that 10 winners with the most dramatic selfie will be chosen. Entries for the contest will close by 5pm on March 28th 2015.
