WhatsApp Beta has an improved Picture in Picture video support for Android

WhatsApp gets an Update to enable you to enhance Pictures

WhatsApp users (all 1.5 billion plus of us) should be looking forward to the new picture in picture video feature the instant messaging service is working on. The feature is already available on WhatsApp Beta on Android, so if you are an early consumer, you might want to check that out.

Already, you can carry floating video from one chat to the other. The new version will enable you to continue watching the video on whichever chat you are at; you can even send the WhatsApp app into the background and still continue watching.

This feature works for videos on YouTube, Streamable, Instagram, and Facebook. This feature will only be available on devices running Android 8 and higher. It will take a few weeks for the feature to roll out to the mainstream version of the app. However, if you want to give it a go right now, you can try out WhatsApp Beta on Android at this link.
