Womeneur™ Launches This Spring

Womeneur, a platform to celebrate female business owners and progressive women, launches April 28.

After nearly ten years of operating a successful concierge business and two lifestyle websites, entrepreneur Sharon Beason will launch her fourth venture, Womeneur. The platform’s goal is to connect, enlighten and empower female business owners, entrepreneurs and progressive women to assist them with leading extraordinary personal and professional lives.

The online platform will feature a local business directory, social and business events calendar and a blog showcasing the journeys of female business owners, entrepreneurs and movers and shakers.  The offline platform will feature Womeneur signature events hosting guest speakers, roundtables, workshops and more.  The business directory will serve as a go-to source for where to support local, female-owned businesses. For a limited time only, business owners pay $69 for a business membership and receive social media promotion, a one-year profile and more.   Beason explains, “I firmly believe many local businesses offering solid products and services all too often remain “unseen” and fall under the radar of major media platforms, so I want to use Womeneur to showcase these businesses.” “Also, I want to be instrumental in helping more women to follow their dream of entrepreneurship & business ownership”, Beason adds. Womeneur will also be ideal for existing and budding entrepreneurs and business owners and for women who appreciate them. “The fact that we keep the focus on local is a key element separating us from similar sites,” says Beason.

Tuesday, April 28 welcomes the launch of Womeneur’s website and its Launch Event & Shopping Soiree. The event will take place from 6-9:30pm at the beautiful and spacious Dumbo Spot.  Guests will enjoy an evening filled with interactive art, music from DJ Tiff McFierce, tasty bites, mini cupcakes from IM Pastry, signature cocktails mixed with White Pike Whiskey and QDrinks, wine from Brooklyn Oenology and Fentiman’s Ginger Alcoholic Beer. Guests will delight in shopping galore for hand-made jewelry, clothing, stationery, artisanals teas and so much more. The stellar vendor lineup includes:  A Bernadette, Anu Essentials, Beyond Classically Beautiful, Calabar Imports, Dandy Demure Jewelry, Design By U, IndigoStyle Vintage, Lime Green, Lovely Earthlings, Mawusii, The Silly Simone and TeaFey Infusions and The Wrap Life.

About Sharon Beason

Beason is a career professional. She passed all four parts of the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam believing she would retire as a CPA, but the entrepreneurial bug got the best of her, so in April 2006 she founded Brooklyn’s only Black-owned concierge company – All About Brooklyn Concierge.

She has since founded several successful businesses and established hundreds of long-lasting relationships with the Brooklyn community and beyond. These include comprehensive events-based site Social Fix and lifestyle blog Brooklyn Exposed, where she produced the successful and sold-out walk-around food tasting event, Tasting Brooklyn and a walk-around spirits tasting event, Shaken & Stirred.

Dubbed “our favorite Brooklyn entrepreneur” by the L Magazine, her events garnered press from the likes of NY Times, Grub Street, Tasting Table, Thrillist, the New York Daily News, Eater and more.

Known to be a connector, Beason was the Director of the Boston-based Downtown Woman’s Club – Brooklyn Chapter – between February 2006 and 2009 and organized networking events for professional women.  Additionally, she was instrumental in making it the Club’s most successful chapter.
