Xbox One’s Twitch App Now Lets You Broadcast Games
When Xbox One was released back in late November, it introduced the Twitch app, which allowed users to stream their games online. However by the time the Xbox One was launched in the market, the app was not ready: the app crashed a lot and the streaming was anything but smooth. Clearly the development of this app was rushed in order to sell the Xbox One. Many gamers tried using it, but soon afterwards forgot about it since it was troublesome. Now the app has just been released in its proper state and will allow users to stream their games to other Xbox’s gamers using the Twitch app.
There is also a new command feature called “Xbox Broadcast”. This command will initiate the recording and the streaming. But users will first be required to setup a Twitch account first (if they don’t have one already) and adjust their privacy settings. The update of this app came out on the March 11th but came a day early on the 10th of March.
This is definitely a great update by Microsoft because many people who play video games love to stream it, and some people even make money out of it. Before this, people were forced to set up their Xbox with their TV and then record the TV through their computer and so on. This was quiet hectic and very annoying. Now that gamers can stream directly from their Xbox, many gamers are becoming accustomed to streaming each for a different reason. It has always been a lot of fun watching how other people play video games and it’s a great source of entertainment.
During the initial stages of the Xbox One launch into the market, there were many apps and functions launched with it but they were a bit troublesome. Now that the Twitch app has reached its full potential, we can hope to see other functions like Xbox TV and the Xbox voice command improved as well. If you want to stream through the Twitch app, uninstall the app then reinstall it. It should install the most up-to-date version.
