So the military over in Zimbabwe are currently calling the shots, and for the first time in the country history after their getting their independence from the U.K. someone else other than Robert Mugabe is in control.
The military on Wednesday morning took over control of the capital Harare and place the 93-year-old President Robert Mugabe under house arrest. It might be important to note that Mugabe has been the only President of the country, since the history of Zimbabwe.
He ascended to power in 1980 after the Brits left, and has maintained a firm grip on power ever since. It appears time (read old age) is catching up to him triggering him to initiate arrangements that will see his wife Grace Mugabe succeed him. This move could have been a miscalculation on his part, as it led to him parting ways with his deputy, Emmerson Mnangagwa last week.
The President fired his Deputy, and it is now feared the disgruntled Mnangagwa is behind the current military control of the country. Note the military has stated categorically they have not conducted a coup, but only capturing the criminals around the President who have brought about the socio-economic challenges the citizens are facing.
Some Citizens took to Twitter showing their hopes of having a new President
As you can see from the Tweets sampled below, some Zimbabweans are having a run with this current situation. As to whether or not, their wish will be granted, remains to be seen:

All Grace #Mugabe bank accounts should be frozen worldwide, and funds returned to the people of #Zimbabwe to help rebuild the nation.

We DO NOT need or want foreign intervention. You have ignored our pleas for help countless times, don’t start interfering now while this remains peaceful. #Zimbabwe #Mugabe

#Zimbabwe
Robert Mugabe should be imprisoned for 20+ years and he should not attempt to die before he finishes his sentence
God Give him a long life.. Amen!!!— Trouble Some™ (@johncigi) November 15, 2017
I absolutely disagree with the @EFFSouthAfrica saying Robert Mugabe must be granted asylum in South Africa. He must face the music for his crimes in Zimbabwe. Him not been held accountable will make him above the Constitution of #Zimbabwe. He cannot live on our expanse too.
