How to Block Popups in Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox

Everybody hates popups right? They kill productivity, break flow and obliterates the mood. Websites these days are full of adware, subscription popups, product buy ads, app ads and whatnot. Luckily, famous web browsers like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox has ways which could let you block the popups forever. Let’s see how to block popups on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox.

Block Popups in Chrome

Launch Google Chrome and click the menu button from the top right side.

Click Settings

Click Show Advanced Settings.

Now Click ‘Content Settings’ under privacy tab.

Here, you will see radio buttons for the popups. Check the button saying ‘Do not allow any site to show pop-ups’

You could click ‘exceptions’ to add the URLs of the websites for which you want to see popups.

Click ‘Done’.

That’s it. This was how to block popups for every website in Google Chrome.

Block Popups in Firefox

Launch Mozilla Firefox.

Go to settings by clicking the menu from the top right corner.

Click ‘options’.

Under ‘Content’ tab, check the box saying ‘Block pop-up windows’.

That’s it. Too easy right? This was how to block popups in Mozilla Firefox.
