How to Use Snapchat Maps in Android, iPhone: Find Friends, Strangers on Snap Maps

Snapchat is peerless when it comes to introducing features to hook teens. Snapchat has launched Snap Maps, a feature which lets you see the exact location of your friends and their activities. Let’s just admit: we all are curious about what our friends are up to. We can’t stop checking Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat because of the “Fear of Missing Out”. Snapchat is harnessing this feature and launching and exciting feature. It’s pretty easy to use Snapchat Maps in iPhone and Android.

How to Use Snapchat Maps on Android and iPhone

In order to use Snapchat, you’ll have to enable your location. But there is a “Ghost Mode”, using which you can see where your friends are without revealing your location.

You can also select specific friends to whom you want to reveal your location. So you can easily filter out useless people in your friends list.

In order to open Snap Maps, open camera screen and zoom out of the screen.

What is Our Story Feature in Snapchat Maps

Snapchat Maps has a thing called “Our Story”. Our story is a place where Snapchatters submit their stories from the same area, making a community-based stories. All the stories submitted to “Our Story” appear on Snap Maps.

In order to submit your stories to “Our Story”, follow the steps below.

Tap the capture button to take a Snap

Tap the -> icon  in the lower right corner of the screen and tap on ‘Our Story’ button in the bottom-right to submit your Snap.

 

Remember, when you submit a Snap to “Our Story” it becomes visible to everyone using the Snap Map service around the world.

How to Find Your Friends on Snap Map

Every Snap Chat map user gets a bitmoji of their choice if they decide to link their account with the Bitmoji service. But if they don’t link their account, they are assigned a simple blank bitmoji.

If you want to find your friends on Snapchat Maps, follow the steps below.

Launch Camera screen and zoom out by pinching your fingers.

Tap on the bitmoji of your friends to start a chat and see their location.

 

You can also use the ‘Friends on the Snap Map’ feature to search your friends using Snap Maps.
