Huawei Phone Clone App transfers data from Old to New Phone; even iOS to/from Android

Buying a new phone is always fun, isn’t it? Especially, when you are upgrading from a less fancy phone to a top notch one. It is fun up to until the point, you realize your old phone has a lot of documents, videos, and pictures that you can’t do without. There are a plethora of option of transferring data from old phone to new phone; there are apps and software for that, or you could do it the old-good-way, manually moving files from old device to the new one.

The fact is, it is never as easy as it is supposed to be. Doing it manually is painstakingly slow, and you have to know exactly where those folders are in your old phone, and the correct folders and root folders you should place them in your new phone. Failure to which, access to these files on your new phone will not be seamless as it’s supposed to be.

When using bespoke software for this purpose, the majority of them do a good job but halfway through; bottom line you never get 100% complete files transfer. Not to mention, others will fill up your new phone with bloatware.

To address this, the China-based device maker Huawei has unveiled an app it touts to your best bet in transferring data from old phone to new phone. Dubbed the Huawei Phone Clone, this app works on both iOS and Android devices. That means it should enable you to transfer files from an old iPhone to a new Android phone; or the other way round.

How Huawei Phone Clone works

Once installed in both the new and old smartphone, you will have to connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network. Next, you will select the files (videos, pictures, and documents) you want to transfer from old phone to the new one. You can also transfer your contacts, SMS, MMS, and call logs.

If you are transferring data from devices running the same mobile operating system, you can also transfer apps (APKs) from the old phone to the new phone.
