KongaPay now open to Customers outside the Konga Platform

One of Nigeria’s leading online shopping mall, Konga has opened up its KongaPay platform to customers seeking payment solutions outside its platform. This move demonstrates Konga’s market leadership in e-commerce not just in Nigeria but across Africa.

Shola Adekoya, Konga CEO said, “Konga is launching KongaPay payment solution because we want Nigerians and Africans at large to experience the best of service at their convenience. This means we constantly evolve to be more relevant to customers and society.

We are extending KongaPay to other consumers outside of the Konga.com’s platform because it is designed to be fast, reliable, secure, flexible, and above all provides a best-in-class financial solution to Nigerians and Africa at large.

As it works out, KongaPay allows customers take a picture of the item they would like to sell, and automatically a QR code is generated with the picture. Customers can then share this photo on any social media platform effectively opening their market beyond just local buyers to include international buyers.

KongaPay features include:

Pay offline; customers can just show the QR code at any participating merchant store and pay for the product.

Me-Commerce, the first of its kind in the world payment solution, where users create shareable QR code for a product they want to sell. Share the QR on social media and get paid from Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. All payments are through KongaPay.

KongaPay comes with a fully customizable Android, iOS, and Web SDKs that allows merchants integrate and customize KongaPay to suit their needs.

It turns virtually any phone into a POS.

Payments are made using just one’s phone number and a 4-digit PIN.

Konga touts KongaPay as world’s first payment solutions to entrench all of the above mentions collective payment solutions into one product.

Other than facilitating its e-commerce platform, Konga says the payment solution has differentiated them from their competitors as the pacesetters and solutions provider in the e-commerce space. They want their payment solutions to open up new possibilities to entrepreneurs and create employment opportunities and boost economic growth across Africa.
