Caught Red-Handed
After a week and some change off, I’d like to think that I’ve returned with some “fire”—by fire, I mean the hottest of the hottest creative innovations—but I’ll let you be the judge. This year we’ve seen some of the heat come out of CES; most innovations showcased at CES were already on the market or soon to hit. The journey to CES for some companies, starts at the Red Dot Award—an international innovation concept competition. The competition has several categories, from new ideas for public spaces to interior design. The concepts that generate a significant amount of interest usually go on to secure a financial backing and end up being produced. Some of the 2013 winners have received financing and are going into production, and others are still waiting their turn, so there is no time like the present—while the 2014 contestants are preparing their entries—to check out some of the best entries submitted. Below is 2013 winner and also an example of what to expect:
Sign Language Ring
