The Six Startups that pitched at MEST’s Africa Technology Summit 2016

As a follow up to MEST annual Africa Technology Summit (ATS) that took place on December 6 – 7 at the Intercontinental Hotels, in Lagos, Nigeria. MEST held a Demo Day for its top companies within its portfolio.

The following are the six startups that were picked to participate in the MEST’s Demo Day. They are:

Ø Asoriba: A web and mobile-app based church administration system, enabling church leaders to engage with members seamlessly and more efficiently.

Ø Curacel Health: a web platform that can also run offline that enables scanning of clinical paper records and upload them in digital form making them searchable, updatable, and easier to manage. The system also enables users make appointments and allows communications with other patients. The system is affordable and easy to deploy especially in developing countries.

Ø Devless: A back-end tool for software developers used as a service where they can quickly develop and rapidly deploy prototype scalable web, mobile and IoT apps with ease.

Ø Dropque: A futuristic Human Resource management tool that gives interviewers a one-way video interviewing platform where they get to learn about the job applicant’s personality and skills before meeting them in person.

Ø Flippy Campus: An app for campus student giving them the entire information about their campus right on their phone; the students can get notices.

Ø Loystar: an e-commerce loyalty program app that allows merchants give shopping points to their most loyal customers and keep them coming back shopping again.

The judging panel included co-founder and director of the Kaizen Venture Partners Ngozi Dozie, founder of Growing Businesses Foundation Ndidi Nnoli-Edozien and Principal Investment Officer Africa, Singularity Investments Lexi Novitse.
