WhatsApp will stop working on these smartphones

Well, some bad news for some millions of WhatsApp user, your days for enjoying the WhatsApp messaging service are numbered. This development comes after the Facebook-owned social networking platform announced that it will soon stop supporting certain mobile operating systems.

The social network, which currently enjoys approximately 1.5 billion users across the globe, will start shutting down support for smartphones running on Android version 2.3.7 and earlier versions. As for iOS devices, the social network will also stop support for devices running iOS 7 and previous versions.

Support for these older versions of Android and iOS will end on February 1, 2020. However, users still using the Nokia s40 mobile operating system, they have until the end of this year to get a new phone or face being locked out of the social networking platform.
