ZTE Spro Plus The Smart Projector That Doubles Up As A Tablet

ZTE has a line of Spro (pronounced as ‘ess-pro) projectors; some mini smart projectors that seem to be the answers to unasked questions.

ZTE Spro Plus is the latest of these projectors, but with an extra added layer of controversies. This mini projector is actually a tablet with an 8-inch 2560×1600 pixel Super AMOLED display.

The device is powered by a Snapdragon 801 or 625 processor and comes with a Wi-Fi and LTE support variants. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and the projector is 500 lumens, WXGA resolution laser unit. In simpler terms, the ZTE Spro Plus is more than twice as bright as its predecessor the Spro 2.

The ZTE Spro Plus also comes with video conferencing capabilities through an external camera and two four watt JBL speakers. Amazingly, all the ZTE Spro Plus gadgetry is housed inside a casing that is significantly thinner than the predecessor Spro 2.

It powered by a 12,100mAh battery, which the company says can support up to four hours of video streaming projected on a wall. The company wants the ZTE Spro Plus to become the second most used device after your smartphone.

There is no doubt that the Spro Plus looks better than its predecessors, but not much can be said about it for now until it hits the shelves this summer. We will wait to see if anyone outside the travelling salesperson will find good use for the device. The company is yet to announce the price.
