Desktop Version of Inbox by Gmail now has Smart Reply

When it comes to work stuff emails are a quite resourceful, but they can easily get overwhelming. So much so that you only read the emails, execute the task at hand and move on to the next email and its awaiting tasks.

We tend to forget to reply to emails assuming that by doing what was asked by the email, the sender knows you read the email. A simple acknowledgement of that you have received the email would suffice, but when you receive tens of emails on a daily basis, replying to each email daily becomes tedious.

That is probably why Google introduced Smart Reply on its new Inbox by Gmail that launched late last year.

What is Smart Reply?

As explained by Google in its blog spot, Smart Reply save you precious time by suggesting up to three responses based on the emails you get. Selecting an option starts a reply, ready for you to either edit or send.

Smart Reply was first availed on the Inbox by Gmail mobile app (iOS, Android) list November. It has been available on Inbox by Gmail desktop since March 15. It will save you from having to type out responses to emails (especially emails that require acknowledgment of received, or short replies) by automatically generating responses based on your previous communications with that particular sender.
