Google intentionally makes YouTube 5x slower on Firefox and Edge browser, claims Mozilla staffer

Search engine giant who is also one of the biggest software developers around the globe, Google, is being accused of deliberately making YouTube slower on browsers competing with its own browser, Chrome.

That is according to Mozilla’s Technical Program Manager, Chris Peterson, who took to Twitter to call out Google on this appalling anti-competition behavior. Peterson claims that YouTube runs five times slower on Firefox and Edge browser.

Me? Well, I ditched Firefox close to a decade now, for Chrome so it would be hard to make a comment on something that doesn’t apply to me. How about you, Firefox and Edge browser users (if you’re there at all), do you think Peterson has a case for Google to answer?

Then again, does it not make sense for a company to code its website to run best on its other platforms?
