News and Release Date About Nexus 6

The Nexus series is known for its high specs at a low cost and Nexus 5 released in 2013 was the proof of it. Now it’s 2014 and we are all expecting Nexus 6 to be released in this year. Though we are still not sure if there will be any Nexus 6 in the future as the new rumor of Google`s Android Silver program, it could be an end to Nexus series. There is still a chance though that they will continue with their Nexus series as nothing is confirmed. Here are some rumors and expectations for Nexus 6.

Price and Release date

As the Nexus 5 was announced on October 31 2013 and was available in stores in November, Nexus 6 is also expected to be released near same time in 2014. Nexus 5 was released with a price tag of $349 for its 16GB model so Nexus 6 should also have a similar price tag. Though if there will be some cool new technology introduced in Nexus 6 then it might get bit expensive.

Operating system

When Android KitKat was arrived, Nexus 5 also came with it. So there is a chance that Nexus 6 could be running Google`s next version of operating system, though we are not sure if it is going to be Android 5 or Android 4.5. As Google launches its new version of a software there is a chance that they are going to launch a new hardware with it too.

Design

LG is responsible for Nexus design and Nexus 5 had a resemblance with LG G2. So there is a chance that Nexus 6 might be based on LG G3. If this is true then Nexus 6 could come with a 5.5 inch QHD display and metal chassis. But all features of LG G3 cannot be provided in Nexus 6 as it will be made to be cheaper.

Fingerprint Scanner

LG G3 on which Nexus 6 will be based on doesn’t support Fingerprint Scanner. But Nexus 6 will be directly competing against iPhone5S, HTC One Max and Samsung Galaxy S5 and they all contain Fingerprint Scanner so Nexus 6 Should not be an exception.
