The Meta-owned company has just released a new feature onto the stable channel that should solve a big headache for a lot of users. The fact that you can only chat with people saved in your contact list. If you want to chat with a new number not in your contact list, then you must first go through the hassle of first saving it, then refreshing your contact list on WhatsApp.
How to Chat with New Number on WhatsApp without First Saving
When you want to chat with a new number on WhatsApp, you now don’t need to first save it on your contact list. You simply need to follow the steps below:
- Launch the WhatsApp on your phone. Go to the contact list and tap on the search button. Type the number you want to start chatting with on WhatsApp, and the app will search for the number outside your contact list.
- The number will pop up under your search, with a small ‘chat’ icon beside it. Hit this button, and you will be able to chat with the new number.
This feature removes the hustle of chatting with new numbers on WhatsApp and being forced to start playing with Settings with regards to privacy. Perhaps you don’t want just anyone you communicate with on WhatsApp to be able to view your profile picture, Statuses updates, and other things.
