Run 3 Monitors in Windows 10: Fix Third Monitor not Detected
1- Go to the Control Panel in Windows 10 and then go to Display. Now go to “Change Display Settings”. You will see all three screens here. But many users will see one of them as disconnected. Now click on the screen that is disconnected or dark and choose “extend desktop to this display” option. You will be able to run three monitors on Windows 10 using this way.
2- The best way to use 3 monitors in Windows 10 is to check your drivers and get all the updates for them installed. You should check the website of your PC vendor and check for driver updates.
3- If you are using GeForce graphics card and trying to run 3 monitors with it, you should know that GeForce cards result in monitor detection problems. You will have to get the ISO version of Windows 10 instead of the technical preview because it supports automatic upgrades and installs.
4- There is another solution to activate and enable the third monitor. First, you should connect the two monitors that are working just fine. Now connect the third monitor as well and then restart your computer. During the boot process, Windows will detect the monitor and it will install the driver.
5- Some users say that they were able to fix third monitor not detected in Windows 10 issue by using a HDMI to mini-display port adapter for the third monitor. You will have to buy a new HDMI port and connect the third monitor and hopefully, things would work out.

One user, who had upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, downgraded to Windows 8.1 and then reinstalled Windows 10 and three monitors started working fine. 9- Go to control Panel and click on “Display”. On the left side, you will see “Display Settings”. Click on it. Go to “Multiple Displays” option and select “Extend Desktop to this display”. You will get to see three options for monitors.
