City walk, a leading footwear retailer in Kenya will now sell its fashion products directly to the massive online clientele as well as have their customers enjoy deliveries to their doorstep with pay on delivery services across the country that Jumia offers after the two companies signed a partnership.
The company which started operations in 1991 and now boasts over 21 branches across the country seeks to bridge the gap between offline and online retail while tapping into the tech savvy middle and upper class online market.
Mr.Ali Hassan, MD, City Walk said, “We are consistently looking to improve our customer experience and are happy to report that our customers can now shop from our virtual shop on Jumia from anywhere in Kenya and pay on delivery. They can also select multiple sizes and only pay for the one they like.”
The Jumia online marketplace is a platform that allows merchants to sell their products to a wider online market. Each seller is able to monitor sales as well as pending, shipped and cancelled orders independently through the seller centre portal. Seller on the platform include Microsoft, Bata, Nairobi Sports House, Infinix, Innjoo, Tile and Carpet Centre, Darling Hair among others.
