There is a call to action by the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) to all entrepreneurs across the African continent to apply for the Digital Pitch Competition. Winners of the competition stand a chance to earn the opportunity to pitch during the 2017 Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC) to be held in South Africa.
As a requirement to enter the competition, you must like the GEN South Africa Facebook Page, then next click on the ‘Digital Pitch Competition’ tab, and register yourself to participate in the competition. The registration form must be filled to completion.
Next, you should upload your pitch video directly to the page. The video uploads should not be later than Feb 5th, 2017, and they will be open to the public for voting. That means you can ask as many of your friends as possible to vote for your video by liking the video.
Public voting period closes on Feb 7th, and the top five entrepreneurs who are the owners of the top five most liked videos will be selected as the winners. The official announcement of the winners will be made on Feb 17th on the GEN South Africa Facebook page.
The five winners will proceed to the next stage of the competition where they will pitch their products/services before a panel of seasoned entrepreneurs, and investors at the 2017 GEC. That will be on March 13th – 17th 2017 in Johannesburg.
The winners’ flight and accommodation in Johannesburg for the three nights span of the competition will be catered for. They will also get VIP treatment and exposure to a global network of entrepreneurs, and investors from the tech ecosystem.
