Chrome for Android on most devices does not have the home button. Google is reportedly currently experimenting on bringing the feature to all Android devices, though it has been available as an opt-in feature since April this year.
Google has already rolled out the home button to the Chrome Canary and Dev version. It is present as a minimalist feature. The home button looks like a newspaper icon on the Google Pixel device.
