Apparently there is a notorious leaker KGI Securities’ Ming-Chi Kuo aka The best Apple Analyst on the Planet. Kuo has a reputation of always leaking out upcoming Apple’s products months ahead of the Cappuccino company confirms the ‘rumors’ floating around the tech streets. Moreover, almost always, Kuo’s leaks turn out to be true.
Take, for instance; he leaked information about Apple 2015 12-inch MacBook, the iPad Pro, the phablet-sized iPhone 6 Plus (5.5-inch) and the iPhone 6 (4.7-inch), and the recent low priced iPhone SE.
Kuo’s latest leak is perhaps the most radical, as he seems to suggest that iPhone 8 is already in the works, and it could be an all glass smartphone. Apparently, with the iPhone 8, Apple will do away with the aluminum chassis and re-introduce an all-glass enclosure. The phone will also have the cutting edge curved OLED display.
This would not be the first time Apple makes an all-glass iPhone. With the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S, the Cappuccino company has mixed success with an all-glass chassis. Cases of glass iPhones with cracked backs plagued Apple flagship device for that year, although the iPhone had quite the stylish look.
However, Kuo says Apple will employ the use of advanced technology to produce a toughened glass to address the cracking all-glass chassis. If or when Apple confirms Kuo’s leaks to be authentic (many believe Kuo is always right in his leaks), users can expect not only a stylish iPhone 8 but the all-glass chassis will improve wireless charging and antenna reception.
Before you start getting excited, chances are high Apple is likely to release the iPhone 8 in 2017, which will be the year the Cappuccino company will also be celebrating its ten years anniversary. So we should expect Apple to go all out on its flagship device for that year.
