LG has just released new funky levitating speakers; a speaker that will give you funky music right from the air with no cables and messy wires. The LG levitating speakers just like the name suggests it plays music right from the air, with no wires attached. No doubt, these speakers look like they came right out of a sci-fi movie, with all its futuristic features.
Although the LG levitating speakers are not the first of its kind, there are a couple of others, but the design looks really futuristic and no doubt it will be an eye-catcher in any room. The speaker is designed in a white themed scheme with an assuring chunk base unit and a number of control options located on the speaker itself.
How does it Levitate?
The LG levitating speakers can achieve levitation thanks to electromagnetics; it comes with a powerful unit that supports omnidirectional speakers. LG describes the speaker as a Dual Passive Radiator technology that “flush mid-range tones and crisp highs.”
The chunky base fittingly produces the bass effect working as a subwoofer, while at the same time it acts as a charger for the levitating speaker. The levitating speaker can remain airborne for a maximum of 10 hours, after which it descends slowly onto the chunky base for recharging.
The descent in itself looks like how you would expect the Mars lander to land on the surface of the Red Planet. It looks like those spaceship landing on celestial bodies. The speakers will continue playing audio during the recharging process, though it will not look as cool as when it is levitating and giving out sounds.
Pricing and Release Date
LG has not yet given any official communications with regards to the price and release date. However, informed speculators are saying LG will most likely debut its Levitating Portable Speakers at the forthcoming CES set to happened next week. You can, of course, expect innov8tiv to keep you posted.
