Recap of Lamudi’s 1-Year Anniversary Celebrations Held In Westlands, Nairobi
Kenya’s fast-growing property portal, Lamudi marked its first anniversary last night at a colorful event in Westlands, Nairobi. The event was attended by key stakeholders in the Kenyan real estate market, who came to applaud Lamudi for its innovative initiative of putting up an online platform for real estate marketing.
Lamudi has been holding the leading position within key regions in real estate marketing, as the competition for the online property space intensifies. Currently, the platform can boast of over 670,000 listings for buy and rent properties in 28 different countries across the globe. In just the period between April to September 2014, Lamudi registered 116% growth in property listings on its website.
Lamudi is innovative because we tackle markets that other property portals have so far ignored. We expect Lamudi’s growth spurt to continue for the remainder of 2014, and beyond. It is for this reason that we believe our products has resonated so strongly with property-seekers around the world.”
To mark its one-year anniversary, Lamudi gave awards to some of the companies doing property listings on its sites. The criteria chosen by Lamudi for awarding these companies, was based on the company’s quality of customers service, keeping their accounts regularly updated and consistency in paying clients among other considerations. The companies that walked away with the awards are:
*Financial & Property Consulting Limited – won the Best Medium Estate Agency 2014.
*Simkar Enterprises – won the Best Large Agency 2014.
*Optiven Limited – won the Best Estate Developer.
The company launched its mobile app for both the Android and iOS devices, in June this year. The app has already registered about 100,000 downloads ever since it was available in app stores.
Innov8tiv was invited to attend the event, and I took the pleasure in representing the Innov8tiv team. The following are some of the pictures I took at the event.
