Thousands Turn Up For The #GarissaMemorialConcert In Commemoration Of The #GarissaAttack
April 14th, 2015 – Freedom Corner at Uhuru Park in Nairobi was a beehive of activities, where Kenyans and foreigners alike came together to celebrate the survivors of the terrorist attack at the Garissa University. They also paid respect to the 147 innocent lives the claimed by the Al-Shabaab.
Kenyans from different background in terms of religion, tribe, race and social influence came together to show the terrorist that we remain resolute and firm. The un-Godly acts committed by the Al-Shabaab on innocent Kenyans go outside the teachings of Islam; a peaceful religion. Thus can only be classified as un-Godly and barbaric. The following is a summary of what Kenyans on Twitter had to say:

Some of these students came from poor families that had to sell their possessions such as land, cows and other valuables. In order to be able to send them to the university, only to be killed in a senseless act of the Al-Shabaab trying to send out a message to the Kenyan Government and all non-Muslims.
