Retired General Muhammadu Buhari is to be inaugurated as Nigeria’s next president today in Abuja, Nigeria. Buhari won the Presidential Election conducted in March, 2015 that saw him dislodge the incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan, who was running for his second term in office.
Analysts say that Buhari had the upper hand on Jonathan due to his military background, that voters saw him as the better candidate to tackle the deadly Boko Haram Islamist military group.
