Lamudi Records Over 25,000 Listings In Less Than A Year Since Launch
Rocket Internet’s Lamudi has reached the 25,000 online listings mark after a year since its launch. Lamudi aims at reaching more than 150 million users in Nigeria.
“This new milestone does not come as a surprise to us as we are constantly pushing to open access to the real estate sector for all Nigerians. But size is not everything we feel it is equally important to educate both our sellers and buyers on the benefits and pitfalls in the marketplace,” said, Obi Ejimofo, Managing Director at Lamudi Nigeria.
“This is why we are equally proud of the success of the Lamudi Journal – our portal of knowledge, news and tips on real estate which has reached a milestone of over 100,000 hits per week, barely 4 months since we created it. This is an indication of the appetite for knowledge and trust in this sector.”
Lamudi is now present in more than 28 countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. It has more than 400,000 real estate listings on its platform from across the globe. Lamudi provides seller, buyers, renters and landlords a more secure and easy-to-use interface platform where they can list or find their properties online.
Lamudi is going up against PrivateProperty that recently reported having more than 130,000 listings on its platform in Nigeria. Essentially making it the most widely used platform, thus Lamudi has to do much more in order to catch up to its competitor.
