In its pursue to support Côte d’Ivoire’s local fashion industry, JUMIA unveils “Designers Ivoiriens”. The first of its kind online boutique in Côte d’Ivoire, purely dedicated to the sale of the finest collections of local designers. “Designers Ivoiriens” will showcase products from the best designers in the country and some of their African counterparts, thus serving as a promotional vector for local expertise.

When JUMIA decides to support local designers, it does it in the best way possible. The e-commerce giant just created the first dedicated online store, “Designers ivoiriens”, to promote fashion made in Côte d’Ivoire and shed light upon local designers’ creations. From now, the link www.jumia.ci/jumia-designers-ivoiriens/ will lead fashion lovers into the colourful universe of the most prolific Ivorian creators.

For its launch, “Designers Ivoiriens” starts with men collections of eight different brands: Pathe’O, Ciss St Moise, Kente Kita, Fredy N, James Wale, Lookman, Le Richelieu and the British brand, Ohene Ohema by the Ghanaian designer Abenaa Pokuaa. Each collection is a modern interpretation of African roots; a story told through carefully selected materials and symbolic motifs. The collections reflect the diversity of Africa: every model, from shirts to shoes, perfectly allies African print, sophisticated fabrics and leather. Besides accessible prices, the collections can be distinguished by quality and trendiness.  In a country where appearance holds a certain importance, “Designers Ivoiriens” intends to become the favorite destination of e-shoppers looking for neo-ethnic outfits and accessories to express their style and personality.

“Designers Ivoiriens” will gather top-quality local designers, from the most renowned to rising stars. This initiative will allow local designers to acquire new customers nationwide, but also to benefit from logistics expertise, strong CRM, and flexible payment methods, offered by the e-retailer.
