Want A Free Windows 10? Install Windows 10 Preview First, Says Microsoft

To all pirates out there, if you want to legitimize your next Windows by running a genuine and fully activated Windows 10. You first need to install Windows 10 Preview; Microsoft promises to give you the full package and fully activated Windows 10 for free.

You need to install the latest Windows 10 preview (build 10130) on your machine and use a Microsoft Account that has already registered for the Windows Insider Program. Then and only then, will you (a pirate) get a free Windows 10 upgrade. This announcement comes to address a confusion made earlier when Microsoft announced that it would avail Windows 10 to all Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users.

That statement is not entirely correct; Microsoft will only enable users of genuine and fully activated copies Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 to upgrade to Windows 10 for free. However, if you are running a pirated copy of Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, you will not be allowed to upgrade to Windows 10, but there is a loophole.

If you install the latest Windows 10 preview (build 10130) now, using a Microsoft Account that has been registered for the Windows Insider Program. You will get to upgrade to Windows 10 when it comes out on July 29th.

Before you rush to download and install the Windows 10 Preview in a bid to score yourself a free Windows 10 when it comes out. Here are some few things you should know about running Windows 10 Preview on your machines:

The software is still in development, and the developers need you to share your opinion about it.

Only install this software if you are comfortable getting a lot of updates and the UI design changing significantly now and then.

You should know your way around your PC and are comfortable doing troubleshooting, data backups, formatting the hard drive, installing a new Windows from scratch and restoring old files.

You should know what an ISO file is, and how to use it.

Lastly, you should not install it on a machine you are heavily dependent on.

If you are comfortable with the above, then go ahead to download and install the Windows 10 Preview. If you think BIOS is a term used to describe some eco-friendly renewable fuel, then don’t even think of installing the Windows 10 Preview. Just wait to buy the Windows 10 when it comes out; that is if you are running a pirated copy of Windows. If you have a genuine Windows (7 and 8.1), then sit back and relax as you wait for July 29th to upgrade to Windows 10 for free.
