Netflix’s Top September Films That Won’t Let You Click ‘Back to Library’!

by Felix Omondi

We have been running a series of top new Netflix releases each week. However, – some, though new – it is highly likely five minutes into the film, you’ll be back to the library searching for something else. Nothing sucks like getting all psyched up about a movie, only to be bored with it just minutes into the play.

Best of September

With hindsight, this article will not be tooting the horns of new movies and film releases on Netflix in the month of September. Rather we will be highlighting the most watched movies and films for the past one month. And what better way to end a month, with a weekend marathon of the top hits on Netflix. So here we go.

Lights, camera, laughter! Get ready for a week’s worth of Netflix gems that’ll tickle your funny bone and keep you glued to the screen (without the temptation to hit the “back to library” button).

Sex Education: Season 4

First up, “Sex Education: Season 4.” It’s a rollercoaster ride of teenage hilarity and heart, tackling everything from postpartum depression to religious homophobia. Imagine giving sex therapy to middle schoolers or accidentally setting a blanket on fire – yep, it’s that kind of crazy fun.

Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal: Season 2

And if you’re into true crime with a dash of dark humor, “Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal: Season 2” is your ticket to a wild ride. The Murdaugh family’s web of murder, corruption, and lies is so audacious it’s almost comical. It’s like a real-life soap opera, but with more Southern charm and fewer fancy cocktails.

One Piece: Season 1

Ready for a high-seas adventure? “One Piece: Season 1” brings you pirates, rubber boys, and the pursuit of treasure. It’s a pirate anime with more stretchy antics than you ever thought possible – imagine tying up a baddie like a pretzel. Ridiculous? Absolutely. Hilarious? You bet.

Virgin River Season 5

“Virgin River Season 5” amps up the drama with fires, love triangles, murder mysteries, and enough tears to fill a river. But fear not, there’s romance, humor, and Mel’s epic dance parties to balance things out. Just be ready for some eyebrow-raising decisions – these folks make questionable life choices an art form.

Love is Blind: Season 5

Want a dose of reality TV that’s a mix of drama, romance, and sheer chaos? “Love Is Blind: Season 5” delivers it all. Watch singles date in pods, make impulsive decisions, and see red flags waving like crazy. It’s a lesson in love that you won’t forget, even if you don’t actually learn anything about it.

Kountry Wayne: A Woman’s Prayer

This film is a laugh-out-loud Netflix special that takes you through the hilarious trials and tribulations of being a dad, a husband, and a Christian. From cheating confessions to social media struggles, Kountry Wayne shares it all with a side of infectious energy.

The Pacific

This isn’t your average war film. It’s a serious World War II drama, but it’s also laced with dark humor. Marines wishing for ice cream and trying to talk their enemies out of hiding – it’s a reminder that even in the toughest times, people find reasons to laugh.

Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal Season 1

Last but not least, “Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal Season 1.” This true crime docuseries dives deep into the Murdaugh family’s spectacular fall from grace, complete with murder, corruption, boat crashes, and even a scene-stealing dog named Buster. It’s a train wreck you won’t be able to look away from.

So grab your popcorn and your sense of humor, because Netflix has your entertainment sorted for the week!
