Fix iPhone 6S Touch Screen Unresposive, Frozen (Guide)

A number of iPhone 6S and 6S Plus users have reported frozen, unresponsive iPhone screen problem. The iPhone 6S screen goes unresponsive with periodic breaks as soon as it is unlocked. The frozen screen could last for 6-10 seconds, which becomes a big nuisance. You can fix unresponsive iPhone 6S problem using the methods given below in this article.

Make sure to clear your screen of any oil, droplets and other dust particles. Any hindrance between the screen and touch will cause in a failure to register touch.

Force Reboot

In order to fix unresponsive touch screen of iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, the first and foremost trick you should try is to force reboot your device. This clears off and fix the problem.

Press and hold home and power button together. Keep holding both buttons until you see the Apple logo on the screen. That means the iPhone is rebooting.

After rebooting the iPhone, check the touch again. Chances are high that the frozen screen problem will be fixed.

Restore iPhone

The second way to fix unresponsive touch screen of iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus is to restore the iPhone from backup. For that you will need a computer with iTunes and a data cable.

Connect your iPhone to computer.

Now choose the “Encrypt backup” option and choose “Back up to this computer”

Choose “Back up now” wait for the process to be completed.

After the process is completed, click on the “Restore” button and choose the backup you just made.

The backup will be restored in a few minutes.

Restore Factory

This step involves some last resort measures. You will have to erase the data by doing a restore factory. This would setup your iPhone anew. But don’t worry you can save all the data by taking a backup before the process.

After restore factory, try using the screen of iPhone 6S without restoring the backup. If the iPhone 6S unresponsive touch screen problem is fixed, this means that there is no hardware problem. You can restore the backup later.
