On the other hand, buyers as well enjoy the services of Meka Uganda in the following ways:
- No more time wastage moving from one store to another looking for that ideal item or service you want.
- Buyers no longer taken advantage of or cheated since they had no prior knowledge of just how much a product cost at the next store.
- Buyers obtain free and unbiased product information quickly hence enabling them make wise consumer choice that are not coerced by misleading advertisements.
- Buyers can obtain all this information at the comfort of their own mobile phone or computers before they make a decision of what, where and at which price to buy the product they are looking for.
To sum it up Meka Uganda, benefits both the seller and the vendor by enabling them to by-pass the conventional “bottle-necks” in the consumer market that exploit lack of good consumer knowledge and vendors lack of use on proper advertisement mediums. As we all know, no seller can pass out the opportunity for free and easy publicity, while the buyers are always cautious about being cheated and taken advantage of because they lack access to the full market knowledge.
MEKA platform utilizes its website, SMS-based services and smartphone apps to reach out to its users. Considering that Uganda has a huge number of mobile phone users, the number of audience a Ugandan vendor is able to reach out to via MEKA Uganda is quite large.
Meka launched back in October 25th, 2012 during the DEMO Africa event in Nairobi but was founded on August, 2012 by Collins Mugume and Madra David.
