UN Project Inspire 2014 Welcomes Entries Application; Winner Gets A Grand Prize of US$25,000
Project Inspire was started back in 2011 to mark the 100th International Women’s Day anniversary and the 25th anniversary for MasterCard Africa, Middle East and Asia-Pacific. Project Inspire is a platform for young innovators between the age groups of 18 -35 years old to pitch their ideas; ideas that show support for the disadvantaged girls and women in sustaining a livelihood through instilling livelihood and business skills.
Applicants are given a five-minute platform within which they should pitch their ideas to the world and a panel of judges. The overall winner gets a grant of US$25,000 while the top ten finalists win a one return flight ticket to Singapore to watch the grand finale with four nights’ accommodation while in Singapore that includes meals and transfers. The project has a mission to provide better opportunities for the world and access for girls and women to livelihood and business skills across Africa, Middle East, Asia and Pacific.
