UN Project Inspire 2014 Welcomes Entries Application; Winner Gets A Grand Prize of US$25,000
Project Inspire was started back in 2011 to mark the 100th International Women’s Day anniversary and the 25th anniversary for MasterCard Africa, Middle East and Asia-Pacific. Project Inspire is a platform for young innovators between the age groups of 18 -35 years old to pitch their ideas; ideas that show support for the disadvantaged girls and women in sustaining a livelihood through instilling livelihood and business skills.
Applicants are given a five-minute platform within which they should pitch their ideas to the world and a panel of judges. The overall winner gets a grant of US$25,000 while the top ten finalists win a one return flight ticket to Singapore to watch the grand finale with four nights’ accommodation while in Singapore that includes meals and transfers. The project has a mission to provide better opportunities for the world and access for girls and women to livelihood and business skills across Africa, Middle East, Asia and Pacific.
For the year 2014, young innovators have until June 30th, 2014 to apply for a chance to pitch their ideas at the Project Inspire 2014. Applicants must submit their entries in English or in the form of a video presentation that does not run from more than five minutes. Alternatively you can submit in a two page A4-sized proposal.
