Through Facebook Marketing Partners, Instagram now supports scheduling for business and brand accounts. The service is available through Instagram Partner apps such as Hootsuite.
Instagram says the availing of scheduling for business and brand accounts is a follow up to the Graph API, which gives users insights on their organic reach and moderate the comments section. The new API comes with much more advanced features such as managing multiple business accounts from one platform and seeing all the mentions and tagging for each one of the accounts from one platform.
Instagram, on a blog post, said: “These added features allow for better content planning and secure account management, removing the need for employees to share login credentials to gain account access to insights or create a post.”
The ability to schedule posts to publish at specified times was one of the most requested features on Hootsuite. Instagram is giving developers time to migrate to the new Graph API. The original API will remain supported until 2020.
